又上人自云：《妙玄》十種三法之後，合有觀心一科，觀前十法。是知以教詮理，便謂依境立觀，更是僻解，不足可言。一家教文都無此說，此亦上人計窮，謾作此說也。

Furthermore, your Reverence yourself said: after the ten kinds of threefold dharmas in Miaoxuan, there ought to be a section on contemplating the mind to contemplate the preceding ten dharmas. Hence we know that claiming that the teaching expressing principle constitutes establishing contemplation by relying on an object is an even more perverse interpretation, not worth discussing. No doctrinal text of our lineage contains such a statement; this too is your Reverence, at the end of your tether, merely fabricating this assertion.
