況彼附妙法，是約法立義。此玄附《金光明》，是約喻立義。因何附世金，却是法性貫之；附妙法，而不得以法性融之耶？此等顛倒，必是惡鬼入心，狂迷而說，實不合與上人議論。既諂心惡行如此，終不肯摧折慢幢，終不肯信順正義，但為惜乎正教被顛倒說混之，又為悔於來蒙遭邪言惑亂，所以略寄數義陳其梗概耳。

Moreover, its appending to the Wondrous Dharma is establishing doctrine on the basis of dharma. This Profound Meaning's appending to the 'Golden Radiance' is establishing doctrine on the basis of a metaphor. Why is it that when appending to worldly gold it is interfused through dharmatā, but when appending to the Wondrous Dharma it cannot be harmonized through dharmatā? Such inversion must be due to an evil demon entering your mind, speaking in mad delusion; truly, I should not even debate with your reverence. Since you possess such a flattering mind and evil conduct, you will never be willing to snap your banner of conceit, and never be willing to faithfully follow the correct doctrine; it is only out of concern that the correct teaching might be conflated by inverted speech, and out of regret that future students might be confused by heterodox words, that I have briefly lodged several points to present the general outline.
