故詰難書曰：一念心法乃是內觀之境，仍須教文自立，不可妄添。豈可為成我義，便自任情曲撰。且如正釋十科，不見略言一念，何得自融自照成乎邪說？

Therefore the Letter of Interrogation says: 'The dharma of the single thought-moment of mind is the object of internal contemplation; it must still be established by the textual teaching itself, and cannot be added falsely. How could one, merely to establish one's own doctrine, willfully fabricate it according to personal whim? Moreover, in the direct interpretation of the ten sections, we do not see even a brief mention of a single thought-moment—how could self-harmonizing and self-illuminating constitute a heterodox doctrine?'
