又若謂諸文雖談果法，未具觀心之義，故須事法二觀，被於久修始習之機。此玄十種三法雖是果法，已具觀心之義，遂不須觀心一科者。

Furthermore, if it is claimed that although the various texts discuss fruition dharmas, they do not possess the meaning of contemplating the mind, hence the two phenomenal contemplations are needed to cover both long-practicing and beginner capacities; whereas although the ten kinds of threefold dharmas in this Xuanyi are fruition dharmas, they already possess the meaning of contemplating the mind, so the section on contemplating the mind is not needed:
