Sixth Question: The Chao, explaining 'unimpeded, non-defiled yet defiled', says that the Dharma-nature and ignorance universally creating all dharmas is called 'defiled', and because of defilement there are phenomenal poison and practice poison. In giving this explanation, that the defilement of 'non-defiled yet defiled' belongs entirely to phenomenal and practice poisonous harms is clear; why, in explaining the poison of the nature of principle, does it point to this again? If principle does not inherently include poisonous harms, is the Dharma-gate of nature-evil forever severed upon reaching the fruition? Do the phenomenal activities of the three poisons only exist through deliberate intent?
