The above is the authentic calligraphy bestowed by the Venerable Fazhi upon Master Chang, the founding ancestor of Miaoguo in Yongjia. Lecture Master Kai collected and stored it away, cherishing and preserving it for many years. I, Huixun, through fortunate conditions met with it and was able to view and pay reverence to it. Recalling his compassionate instructions from afar, I wept for a long time. The treasures of brush and ink are indeed protected by spirits; that they be engraved on stone to hand down their radiance is everyone's wish. Mid-spring of the dingyou year of the Chunxi era [1177], reverently written by the Dharma-grandson, Bhikṣu Huixun, Abbot of Yanqing Monastery.
