鑒琮論師。在於本鄉，身心安否？親里愛結不相染耶？利養名聞能遠離否？既學山家，必異常流，理事合修自他兼濟，如此即是智者子孫矣。吾年事已去，唯念西游，眾緣所留，未果其志。然圖傳教勝事，實是掛心。今遣二僧去，彼句當印板，望汝行疏贊成。切囑。不具。花押委曲（七月十二日）。

To Treatise Master Jiancong: In your home region, are your body and mind at peace? Are you undefiled by the bonds of familial affection? Can you stay far away from profit, support, and fame? Having studied our Mountain school, you must differ from the ordinary run; practice principle and phenomena together and benefit both self and others—only thus are you a descendant of Zhizhe. My years have already slipped away, and I only think of traveling west, yet detained by various conditions, I have not fulfilled that aim. Still, planning the supreme deed of transmitting the teachings is truly on my mind. Now I am sending two monks there to manage the printing blocks; I hope you will circulate the appeal to support its completion. An urgent entrustment. Incomplete.
