Zunshi bows his head to the Dharma Lord of Yanqing. I have heard privately that in recent days you have unreservedly deployed your eloquence to propagate the exceedingly profound Dharma-gate of the Suvarṇaprabhāsa. Thinking of myself tied down like a gourd, having no affinity to join your assembly, and seeing that the profound meaning of this sūtra demonstrates the fifth, 'derived from its intrinsic substance', this meaning is so profound that I once spent whole nights pondering it without understanding. I have respectfully composed verses to present for your consultation. Beyond your preaching and instructing, I pray you will resolve this once for all. I eagerly await the arrival of your reply.
