Sixth, explaining the method of bowing to the Buddhas. (Once the practitioner has finished praising, they should with a single mind correct their bodily deportment and bow to the Buddhas in sequence. The method of bowing to the Buddhas is: according to the Buddha being bowed to, one should mindfully recollect with sincere intention that this Buddha's Dharmakāya is like empty space, manifesting forms in response to things as if present before one's eyes to receive one's bows; every other Buddha is also like this, and one's mental application must not be scattered. Furthermore, when the practitioner bows to the Buddhas, they naturally know that body and mind are empty and tranquil, with no sign of bowing; they also know that although this body is illusory and not real, it does not fail to appear like a shadow, and before every single Buddha throughout the dharmadhātu, this body prostrates with head and face touching the ground. The method of bowing to the Buddhas six times a day during the three periods of seven days is no different from what is listed below.)
