1.44

When Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva had spoken this mantra, the great earth quaked in six ways, the heavens rained down a shower of precious flowers, the Buddhas of the ten directions all rejoiced, the heavenly Māras and outsiders bristled with terror, and all the members of the great assembly attained realization of the fruits—some attaining the fruit of srotāpanna, some attaining the fruit of sakṛdāgāmin, some attaining the fruit of anāgāmin, some attaining the fruit of arhat, and some attaining the first bhūmi, second bhūmi, third, fourth, fifth, up to the tenth bhūmi; and immeasurable sentient beings aroused the bodhicitta.
