Then, form the Cundī mudrā and place it at the heart. Recite the Cundī mantra together with the One-Syllable Great Wheel Mantra in one place for a total of one hundred and eight times, and then release the hand mudrā above the crown of the head. If there is an invocation, move the two index fingers back and forth while properly forming the mudrā and reciting the mantra. When wishing to keep count, one may count upon the joints of one's own fingers, or upon the arms of Cundī Bodhisattva, or upon the mind of contemplation, or by counting by tens—all are permissible. It is even better if one can form the mudrā and recite it one thousand and eighty times, or one hundred and eight times. Otherwise, it is also permissible simply to form the vajra fist mudrā with the left hand and count with the rosary in the right hand; if one is busy with affairs, one may simply recite it in dispersed recitation.)
