第二、明破異見邪執者。就中有其九番：第一、破妄計大乘無相異見偏執；第二、會通菩薩愛見大悲；第三、破繫心外無法；第四、破願生穢國不願往生淨土；第五、破若生淨土多喜著樂；第六、破求生淨土非是小乘；第七、破求生兜率勸不歸淨土；第八、會通若求生十方淨土不如歸西；第九、料簡別時之意。

Second, clarifying the refutation of divergent views and heterodox attachments: Within this there are nine points: first, refuting the false assumption of Mahāyāna signlessness and one-sided attachment to divergent views; second, integrating the bodhisattva's great compassion based on love and views; third, refuting [the view that] fixing the mind is non-existent outside of phenomena; fourth, refuting [the view of] wishing to be born in a defiled land and not wishing to be reborn in the Pure Land; fifth, refuting [the view that] if one is born in the Pure Land one will mostly indulge in attachment to pleasure; sixth, refuting [the view that] seeking rebirth in the Pure Land is Hīnayāna; seventh, refuting [the view of] seeking rebirth in Tuṣita and advising against taking refuge in the Pure Land; eighth, integrating [the view that] seeking rebirth in the Pure Lands of the ten directions is inferior to returning to the West; ninth, examining the meaning of 'a different time'.
