若欲披尋眾典，勸處彌多，遂以採集真言，助修往益。何者？欲使前生者導後，後去者昉前，連續無窮，願不休止，為盡無邊生死海故。

If one wishes to open and examine the numerous scriptures, the places where it is encouraged are exceedingly many; thus I have gathered the true words to aid in the cultivation of the benefit of rebirth. Why? To make those who are born first guide those who come after, and those who depart later follow those before them, continuing without end, with vows that never cease, in order to exhaust the boundless ocean of saṃsāra.
