第七、依《華嚴經》云：「寧於無量劫具受一切苦，終不遠如來、不覩自在力。」又云：「念佛三昧必見佛，命終之後生佛前，見彼臨終勸念佛，又示尊像令瞻敬。」又善財童子求善知識，詣功德雲比丘所白言：「大師！云何修菩薩道，歸普賢行也？」是時比丘告善財曰：「我於世尊智慧海中唯知一法，謂念佛三昧門。何者？於此三昧門中，悉能覩見一切諸佛及其眷屬、嚴淨佛剎，能令眾生遠離顛倒。念佛三昧門者，於微細境界中，見一切佛自在境界，得諸劫不顛倒；念佛三昧門者，能起一切佛剎，無能壞者，普見諸佛，得三世不顛倒。」時功德雲比丘告善財言：「佛法深海，廣大無邊，我所知者，唯得此一念佛三昧門，餘妙境界，出過數量，我所未知也。」

Seventh, according to the Avataṃsaka-sūtra: "I would rather endure all sufferings for immeasurable kalpas than stay far from the Tathāgata and not behold his sovereign power." It also says: "Through the buddhānusmṛti-samādhi one is sure to see the Buddha; after one's life ends, one is reborn before the Buddha. Seeing someone near death, encourage them in buddhānusmṛti, and display the revered image for them to gaze upon with reverence." Furthermore, when the youth Sudhana sought a good spiritual friend, he went to the monk Meghaśrī and addressed him: "Great Master! How does one cultivate the bodhisattva path and take refuge in Samantabhadra's conduct?" The monk then said to Sudhana: "Within the Bhagavat's ocean of wisdom, I know only one teaching, namely, the gateway of the buddhānusmṛti-samādhi. Why? In this gateway of samādhi, one can completely behold all buddhas and their retinues, as well as their adornments and purification of buddha-fields, and one can cause sentient beings to leave confusion far behind. As for this gateway of the buddhānusmṛti-samādhi, within subtle and minute realms one sees the sovereign realms of all buddhas, and attains freedom from delusion throughout the kalpas; as for the gateway of the buddhānusmṛti-samādhi, it can raise up all buddha-fields without any being destroyed, universally see all buddhas, and attain freedom from delusion throughout the three times." Then the monk Meghaśrī said to Sudhana: "The deep ocean of the Buddha's teachings is vast and limitless. What I know is only this single gateway of the buddhānusmṛti-samādhi; as for the other wondrous realms, they exceed all measure, and I do not know them."
