答曰：「若論修定因，該通於彼、此。然彼界位是不退，并有他力持，是故說為勝；此處雖復修定剋，但有自分因，闕無他力攝，業盡不免退，就此說不如。」

Answer: "If we discuss the cause of cultivating concentration, it applies generally to both here and there. However, the stage in that realm is non-retrogression, and furthermore there is the sustaining support of other-power; therefore it is said to be superior. Although here one also achieves through cultivating concentration, there is only one's own causal capacity, lacking the embracing support of other-power; when the karma is exhausted, one cannot avoid falling back. In this respect, it is said to be inferior."
