問有三番。問曰：「願生淨土，擬欲利物者。若爾，所拔眾生，今現在此。已能發得此心，只應在此，拔苦眾生。何因得此心竟，先願生淨土？似如捨眾生，自求菩提樂也。」

"The questions are in three rounds. Question: 'You say that one vows to be reborn in the Pure Land with the intention of benefiting beings. If so, the sentient beings to be saved are present right here. Having already been able to arouse this mind, one should only remain here to rescue suffering sentient beings. For what reason, after attaining this mind, does one first vow to be reborn in the Pure Land? This seems like abandoning sentient beings to seek the bliss of bodhi for oneself.'"
