又如《觀經．下》文，若有人至心常念阿彌陀佛及二菩薩，觀音、勢至常與行人作勝友知識，隨逐影護。此亦是現生護念增上緣。

Furthermore, as stated later in the Guan jing: If there is a person who with utmost sincerity constantly recollected Amitābha Buddha and the two bodhisattvas, Avalokiteśvara and Mahāsthāmaprāpta will constantly be excellent friends and spiritual companions to the practitioner, following closely to protect them like shadows. This too is the predominant condition of protection and mindful maintenance in the present life.
