問曰：如《無量壽經》云「眾生生者，皆悉住於正定之聚」，又《阿彌陀經》云「舍利弗！極樂國土眾生生者，皆是阿毘跋致」。據此二經，十解已上始得往生，何故言乃至十惡五逆並得往生？

Question: The Longer Sukhāvatīvyūha-sūtra says: 'Sentient beings who are born there all abide in the assembly of correct concentration,' and the Amitābha Sūtra says: 'Śāriputra, the sentient beings born in the Land of Utmost Bliss are all avaivartika.' Relying on these two sūtras, only those at the ten understandings (daśādhimukti) and above can attain rebirth; why do you say that even those of the ten evils and five heinous transgressions all attain rebirth?
