問曰：若此土中有三種定業即不得往生者，何故《觀經》中云「受持五戒等即得往生，至彼聞說四諦悟羅漢果」等也。此豈不小乘定種？

Question: If having these three kinds of fixed karma in this land precludes rebirth, why does the Contemplation Sūtra say that 'upholding the five precepts and the like immediately brings rebirth, and upon arriving there, hearing the teaching on the four truths, one awakens to the fruit of an arhat,' and so forth? Would this not be the fixed seed of the Hīnayāna?
