此經所明念佛，雖不定指西方，竊見慈雲懺主念佛方法，引證念佛大小之義。故此錄之，庶覽彼文者知經始末。

Although the mindfulness of the Buddha explained in this sutra does not specifically point to the West, I have humbly seen that the Repentance Master Ciyun's method of buddha-mindfulness cites it to substantiate the meaning of the greatness and smallness of buddha-mindfulness. Therefore, I record it here, so that those who peruse that text may know the beginning and end of the sutra.
