禪師姑蘇鄭氏子，其族顯官。少依圓照禪師，得大徹悟。唱道宣城，緇素欽敬。先自天衣懷禪師以下，專用淨土法遞相傳授，皆遂往生，各有明驗，具載《寶珠集》。師有唯心淨土文，今錄于此。

The Chan Master was a son of the Zheng family of Gusu, whose clan held prominent official posts. In his youth he relied on Chan Master Yuanzhao and attained great awakening. He proclaimed the teaching in Xuancheng, revered by monks and laypeople alike. Previously, from Chan Master Tianyi Huai onward, they exclusively used the Pure Land method to transmit from one to another, and all attained rebirth, each with clear verification, fully recorded in the Baozhu ji.
