First, the Pure Land of the Amitābha-sūtra. This is for that portion of ordinary beings who grasp at characteristics and do not yet believe in the real principle of the emptiness of dharmas, causing them to remember and think exclusively without shifting their thoughts. Because of their exclusive sincerity, their minds become partially pure and they attain birth in the Pure Land. This is expedient, not yet real.
