淨土生無生論 1.2

稽首能仁圓滿智，無量壽覺大導師，所說安養大乘經，了義了義至圓頓。妙德普賢觀自在，勢至清淨大海眾，馬鳴、龍樹及天親，此土廬山蓮社祖，天台智者并法智，古往今來弘法師，我今歸命禮三寶。求乞冥加發神識，敬採經論祕密旨，闡明淨土生無生，普使將來悟此門，斷疑生信階不退。

I bow my head to the Muni of perfect wisdom, / The Great Guide of Measureless Life and Awakening, / And the Mahāyāna sūtras on the Land of Peace and Nurture spoken by him, / Of ultimate meaning, most definitive, supreme, perfect, and sudden. / To Mañjuśrī, Samantabhadra, and Avalokiteśvara, / Mahāsthāmaprāpta and the assembly of the pure great ocean, / To Aśvaghoṣa, Nāgārjuna, and Vasubandhu, / The patriarch of the Lotus Society at Mount Lu in this land, / Tiantai Zhiyi together with Fazhi, / And the masters who propagated the Dharma past and present: / I now take refuge in and pay homage to the Three Jewels. / Praying for their unseen assistance to inspire my consciousness, / I reverently gather the secret purports of the sūtras and treatises, / To elucidate the Pure Land's birth and non-birth, / Universally causing future [practitioners] to awaken to this gate, / Sever doubts, generate faith, and ascend to non-retrogression.
