Aspiring to rebirth, aspiring to rebirth! / The world of Sukhāvatī is vast and pure; / The ornaments upon the ground are hard to measure. / The fragrant pools of eight virtues flow everywhere, full to the brim; / The golden sand spread across the bottom shines with diverse light. / The stairs on the four sides are not of a single hue; / On the banks are multistoried towers in a million rows. / Pearls and agates reflect and adorn one another; / The four kinds of lotuses, as they bloom, are fragrant. / Those born there from among humans and devas of the ten directions / Each sit on one [lotus] to hear the True and Constant. / Therefore that land is named Sukhāvatī. / The assembly holds flowers and comes to make offerings.
