Aspiring to rebirth, aspiring to rebirth: / Śākyamuni Tathāgata attained right awakening; / For forty-nine years he delivered sentient beings. / Throughout the five regions of India he traveled and transformed, / Causing demonic heterodoxies all to return to the ancestral truth. / In heaven above and earth below, none surpasses the Buddha; / Compassionately rescuing from suffering, he is truly rare to meet. / Now emitting divine radiance pervading the six paths, / Those touched by this light give rise to a compassionate mind. / Whether abiding or coming, all receive full benefit; / The three wretched paths are forever cut off, ending all pursuit. / Now shaking the great earth, mountains, rivers, and seas, / To awaken the sprout-like dark minds whose faith is not yet deep. / Now preaching the Dharma himself to exhort and encourage, / Leading one another in turn into the grove of the Dharma. / The grove of the Dharma is indeed Amitābha's land, / Where one is carefree and joyful, free from harm. / The assembly turns their hearts, all wishing to go there, / Holding fragrant flowers in hand, ever making offerings.
