下輩下行下根人，十惡五逆等貪瞋，
四重偷僧謗正法，未曾慚愧悔前愆。
終時苦相皆雲集，地獄猛火罪人前，
忽遇往生善知識，急勸專稱彼佛名。
化佛菩薩尋聲到，一念傾心入寶蓮，
三業障重開多劫，于時始發菩提因。

People of the lower tier, lower practices, and inferior faculties / Commit the ten evils and five inexpiable sins with equal greed and anger; / Committing the four grave offences, stealing from the Sangha, and slandering the True Dharma, / They have never felt shame or repented past transgressions. / At life's end, the signs of suffering all gather like clouds, / And the raging fires of hell appear before the sinners. / Suddenly meeting a kalyāṇamitra of rebirth, / They are urgently urged to recite that Buddha's name exclusively. / Transformation Buddhas and Bodhisattvas arrive upon hearing their voices; / With one thought of devotion they enter the jewelled lotus. / Their three karmic obstacles being heavy, [the flower] opens only after many kalpas, / Whereupon they first generate the causes of bodhi.
