2.35

大勢至菩薩，神通大自在，與觀音等無差。觀音勢至二大士，常侍彌陀佛左右，觀音頂戴彌陀佛，勢至冠中有寶瓶。瓶內光明甚無量，常放照曜苦眾生，慈悲喜捨常攝物，諸有所作不唐捐，故我遙頂禮。

Mahāsthāmaprāpta Bodhisattva has great sovereign mastery in spiritual penetrations, equal to and no different from Avalokiteśvara. The two great beings Avalokiteśvara and Mahāsthāmaprāpta constantly attend Amitābha Buddha to his left and right. Avalokiteśvara crowns his head with Amitābha Buddha; in Mahāsthāmaprāpta's crown there is a precious vase. The light within the vase is exceedingly boundless, constantly shining forth to illuminate suffering sentient beings. With loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity he constantly gathers beings in, and whatever he undertakes is never in vain; therefore, from afar, I bow down and pay homage.
