（大體須存，滅罪除障，扶四弘誓，隨順菩提，求生淨土，唱時想的對彌陀，餘佛菩薩悉為證明。）

(In general, one must keep in mind extinguishing offenses and removing obstacles, upholding the four universal vows, according with bodhi, and seeking rebirth in the Pure Land. When chanting, visualize directly facing Amitābha, with the remaining Buddhas and bodhisattvas all serving as witnesses.)
