One day the Master went to the prefectural capital of Hebei. The prefectural governor, Attendant Wang, invited the Master to ascend the seat. At that time Magu came forward and asked, "Of the thousand hands and eyes of the Great Compassionate One, which is the true eye?"
The Master said, "Of the thousand hands and eyes of the Great Compassionate One, which is the true eye? Speak quickly! Speak quickly!"
Magu pulled the Master down from the seat and sat on it himself. The Master approached him and said, "Peace be with you?"
Magu hesitated. The Master also pulled Magu down from the seat and sat on it himself. Magu then walked out, and the Master stepped down from the seat.
