雪峯蒸飯次，師問：「今日蒸多少？」峯云：「二石。」師曰：「莫不足麼？」峯云：「於中有不喫者。」師曰：「忽然總喫，又作麼生？」峯無對。雲居代云：「總喫，即不見有不足者。」

While Xuefeng was steaming rice, the Master asked, "How much did you steam today?" Feng said, "Two dan." The Master said, "Isn't it insufficient?" Feng said, "Among them there are those who do not eat." The Master said, "If suddenly everyone ate, what then?" Feng had no reply. Yunju spoke on his behalf, saying, "If everyone ate, then one would not see any insufficiency."
