師與密師伯行次，忽見白兔走過，伯曰：「俊哉！」師曰：「作麼生？」伯云：「大似白衣拜相。」師曰：「老老大大作這箇說話。」伯云：「汝作麼生？」師曰：「積代簪纓，暫時落薄。」

While the Master was walking with Senior Uncle Mi, they suddenly saw a white rabbit run past. Uncle said, "How splendid!" The Master asked, "How so?" Uncle said, "Much like a commoner being appointed prime minister." The Master said, "An old man speaking words like this!" Uncle said, "How would you say it?" The Master said, "Generations of official robes and hairpins, fallen on hard times for a moment."
