師與神山行次，忽見白兔走過。神山云：「俊哉！」師云：「作麼生？」神山云：「大似白衣拜相。」師云：「老老大大，作這箇語話。」神山云：「爾作麼生？」師云：「積代簪纓，暫時落魄。」

While the Master and Shenshan were walking, they suddenly saw a white rabbit run past. Shenshan said, "How nimble!" The Master said, "What do you mean?" Shenshan said, "Much like a commoner being appointed prime minister." The Master said, "So old and venerable, yet you make such talk!" Shenshan said, "What about you?" The Master said, "An illustrious lineage of hairpins and tassels temporarily down on its luck."
