雲居道膺來參，師問：「甚處來？」雲居云：「翠微來」。師云：「翠微有何言句示徒？」雲居云：「翠微供養羅漢。」某甲問：「供養羅漢，羅漢還來否？」翠微云：「爾每日瞳箇甚麼？」師云：「實有此語否？」雲居云：「有。」師云：「不虛參見作家來。」

When Yunju Daoying came for an interview, the Master asked, "Where do you come from?" Yunju said, "I come from Cuiwei." The Master said, "What words and phrases did Cuiwei offer to instruct his disciples?" Yunju said, "Cuiwei was making offerings to the arhats. I asked, 'When offerings are made to the arhats, do the arhats actually come or not?' Cuiwei said, 'What do you eat every day?'" The Master said, "Did he really say this?" Yunju said, "He did." The Master said, "You have not in vain met an adept master."
