One day Qinglin took leave of the Master. The Master said, "Where are you heading?" Qinglin said, "The golden wheel does not hide anything; throughout the entire realm red dust is cut off." The Master said, "Take good care of yourself." Qinglin said farewell and stepped out. The Master saw him off at the gate and said to Qinglin, "How do you speak a phrase about going like this?" Qinglin said, "Step by step treading on red dust, through the whole body there is no shadow or image." The Master remained silent for a long time. Qinglin said, "Why does the old upādhyāya not speak quickly?" The Master said, "How did you become so impatient?" Qinglin said, "I am at fault." He then bowed in farewell and departed.
