上堂，大眾集定，師乃拈起拄杖云：「不得已且向這裏會取。看看，三門在露柱上。」便下座。

Ascending the hall, when the great assembly had settled, the Master held up his staff and said: "As a last resort, just understand it here! Look, look—the triple gate is on the exposed pillar!" He then stepped down from the seat.
