舉：「僧問投子：『如何是此經？』子云：『《維摩》、《法華》。』又問：『塵中不染丈夫兒時如何？』子云：『不著。』」師云：「不喚作法身，不喚作第一義，亦為說法亦為說真空。」

He cited: "A monk asked Touzi, 'What is this scripture?' Touzi said, 'The Vimalakīrti and the Lotus.' He also asked, 'How is it when a great man is undefiled amidst the dust?' Touzi said, 'He does not attach.'" The Master said, "It is not called the dharmakāya, nor is it called the ultimate truth; it is both expounding the Dharma and expounding true emptiness."
