示眾云：「直得觸目無滯，達得名身句身一切法空。山河大地是名，名亦不可得，喚作三昧性海俱備，猶是無風匝匝之波。直得忘知於覺，覺即佛性矣，喚作無事人，更須知有向上一竅在。」

He instructed the assembly, saying: "Even if whatever meets the eye is without hindrance, and you thoroughly realize that name-bodies, phrase-bodies, and all phenomena are empty; that mountains, rivers, and the great earth are names, and names too are unobtainable; and that this is called possessing both the ocean of nature and samādhi—it is still ripples where there is no wind. Even if you forget knowledge in awakening, and awakening is indeed the Buddha-nature, so that you are called a person of no affairs, you must still know that there is a transcendental aperture."
