舉：「韶山勘僧云：『莫便是多口白頭因麼？』因云：『不敢。』山云：『有多少口。』因云：『遍身是。』山云：『大小二事向甚處屙？』因云：『向韶山口裏屙。』山云：『有韶山口，即向韶山口裏屙；無韶山口，向甚處屙？』因無語，山便打。」師代云：「這話墮阿師，放爾三十棒。」又代云：「將謂是師子兒。」又云：「韶山今日瓦解氷消。」

[Yunmen] brought up [the following]: "Shaoshan examined a monk, saying, 'Aren't you the talkative, white-haired Yin?' Yin said, 'I would not dare.' Shaoshan said, 'How many mouths do you have?' Yin said, 'My whole body is one.' Shaoshan said, 'Where do you defecate and urinate?' Yin said, 'I defecate into Shaoshan's mouth.' Shaoshan said, 'When there is a Shaoshan's mouth, you defecate into Shaoshan's mouth; when there is no Shaoshan's mouth, where do you defecate?' Yin had no words. Shaoshan then struck him." The Master said on [Yin's] behalf, "This master who fell into speech, I let you off with thirty blows." He also said on his behalf, "I took you for a lion's cub." He also said, "Shaoshan collapsed like tiles and melted like ice today."
