舉：「王太傅問北院云：『古人道：「普現色身，遍行三昧。」佛法為什麼不到北俱盧洲？』院云：『秖為遍行，所以不到。』」師云：「如法置一問來。」

He cited: "Grand Tutor Wang asked Beiyuan, 'The ancients said, "Everywhere manifesting physical bodies, universally practicing samādhi." Why does the Buddha-Dharma not reach Uttarakuru?' Yuan said, 'Precisely because it is universally practiced, it does not reach there.'" The Master said, "Pose a question according to the Dharma!"
