師因說事了起立，以拄杖擊禪床一下云：「適來如許多葛藤，貶向什麼處去？靈利底即見，不靈利底著於熱瞞。」代云：「雪上加霜。」

The master, having finished speaking about an affair, stood up, struck the meditation couch once with his staff, and said, "Where has all this entanglement just now been demoted to? Sharp ones will see it immediately; the dull ones will be caught in deception." Answering on their behalf, he said, "Adding frost upon snow."
