問僧云：「三藏聖教、天下老和尚言語，總拈却蝦蟇口裏，道將一句來？」代云：「昨日新雷起。」
He asked a monk: "If the sacred teachings of the Tripiṭaka and the words of the veteran upādhyāyas of the world are all stuffed into a toad's mouth, speak a phrase!" Answering on their behalf, he said: "Yesterday fresh thunder arose."
