一日云：「古人道：『巧拙具生殺。』作麼生是生殺？」代云：「疋上不足，疋不有餘。」
One day he said, "An ancient said, 'Skill and clumsiness both possess giving life and killing.' What is giving life and killing?" Answering on their behalf, he said, "In sufficiency there is lack; in lack there is excess."
