師入堂齋次，指聖僧供鉢，問僧云：「爾若喫盡，又在解脫深坑裏；爾若喫不盡，又不唧𠺕。作麼生？」代云：「大眾喫飯次。」

The Master entered the hall during the meal. Pointing to the bowl offering for the sacred monk, he asked a monk, "If you eat it completely, you are in the deep pit of liberation; if you do not eat it completely, you are incompetent. How about it?" Answering on their behalf, he said, "The assembly is eating rice."
