上堂云：「劃斷即不可。」復云：「爾若不會，三十年後莫道不見老僧。」代云：「和尚恐人埋沒。」代前語云：「今日上堂大眾著便。」

Ascending the hall, he said, "To sever it completely is not permissible." He added, "If you do not understand, thirty years from now do not say you did not see this old monk." Answering on their behalf, he said, "The upādhyāya fears people being buried." Providing a substitute word for his earlier statement, he said, "Today ascending the hall, the assembly took advantage."
