因見僧來參，師打露柱一下云：「來這裏瞞我。」代云：「但打露柱一摑，云：『為人自安。』」

Seeing a monk coming for an interview, the Master struck the open pillar once and said, "You come here to deceive me!" Answering on their behalf, he said, "Just strike the open pillar a slap and say, 'For a person to be at ease of themselves.'"
