2.71

舉：「僧問玄沙：『如何是學人自己？』沙云：『是爾自己。』」師云：「沒量大人被語脈裏轉却。」有僧問：「如何是學人自己？」師云：「忽然路上有人，喚衲僧齋，爾也隨例得飯喫。」

He brought up: "A monk asked Xuansha: 'What is the student's self?' Xuansha said: 'It is your self.'" The Master said, "A person of measureless stature was turned around by the thread of words!" A monk asked, "What is the student's self?" The Master said, "Suddenly on the road someone calls a patch-robed monk to a meal, and you too get to eat rice following the precedent."
