師因齋次，拈起餬餅云：「我秖供養江西兩浙人，不供養向北人。」僧云：「為什麼秖供養江西兩浙人，不供養向北人。」師云：「天寒日短，兩人共一椀。」

Because of a meal, the Master held up a pancake and said, "I only make offerings to people from Jiangxi and Liangzhe; I do not make offerings to people from the north." A monk said, "Why do you only make offerings to people from Jiangxi and Liangzhe, and not to people from the north?" The Master said, "The weather is cold and the days are short; two people share a single bowl."
