問僧：「什麼處來？」僧云：「摘茶來。」師云：「人摘茶，茶摘人。」無對。代云：「和尚道了，某甲不可更道。」

He asked a monk, "Where have you come from?" The monk said, "I have come from picking tea." The Master said, "Does the person pick the tea, or does the tea pick the person?" There was no reply. Answering on his behalf, he said, "The upādhyāya has already spoken; I cannot say anything more."
