舉臨濟三句語問塔主：「秖如塔中和尚，得第幾句？」主無語。師云：「儞問我。」主便問，師云：「不快即道。」主云：「作麼生是不快即道？」師云：「一不成，二不是。」

Citing Linji's three statements, the Master asked the stūpa master, "As for the Upādhyāya in the stūpa, which statement did he attain?" The stūpa master was silent. The Master said, "You ask me." The stūpa master then asked. The Master said, "If displeased, just speak." The stūpa master said, "What is 'if displeased, just speak'?" The Master said, "The first is unachieved; the second is not right."
