3.16

僧辭師，師云：「爾辭去那？」云：「是。」師云：「前頭江難過。」僧去，一切臨時，師云：「蘇盧薩訶。」代前語云：「臨行不可無禮去也。」代後語云：「太麁心。」又云：「近日世界不好。」

A monk took leave of the Master. The Master said, "Are you taking leave to depart?" He said, "Yes." The Master said, "The river ahead will be difficult to cross." The monk departed, [leaving] everything to the moment. The Master said, "Suluo sahe (suru svāhā)." Answering on his behalf for the previous remark, he said, "Upon departure, one cannot leave without proper etiquette." Answering on his behalf for the later remark, he said, "Too careless." He also said, "Lately the world has not been good."
